Backlash has shared the stage with such acts as Testament, Exodus, Corrosion of Conformity, Skinlab, Overkill and others.
"We were doing good, then all the Spinal Tap stuff started," said guitarist Sparks. "The band split, every one went there own ways."
After a few years bassist Nat hooked up with Sparks and they started jammin.
"We went through 15 drummers till we hooked up with Jimmy who i've known and played with in Altered State," Sparks said.
Singer Dan emerged after a search that spanned two different vocalists. Dan used to sing for Machina and Ezera Stone.
"After getting our line up last October we were writing songs and friends from France heared us," Sparks said. "Told their Aunt that we would do good in Europe.
She gave us a couple grand and we recorded the 4 songs we had in January 2009."
Look for Backlash to be performing locally at venues such as the Dungeon, The Haven and the Colesium in Daytona this Halloween.
