Empyrean
With an eclectic blend of 90s alternative rock and extreme metal, it is difficult to pinhole this act into any one genre- blistering
riffs and graceful melodies intertwine to form a unique and articulate sonic blend that is as captivating as it is fresh.
Begun by brothers Mike (guitar) and Adam DeLancett (vocals) in late 2002, EMPYREAN has taken shape over 4 years of writing,
revision, and recording.
Developing a stable lineup in winter of 2005 consisting of drummer Drew Brome, bassist Victor Randle,
and Ian Lachowicz on guitar, Empyrean has had the chance to perform in venues across the state and record their first self-titled EP.
Gathering growing interest in the Orlando area, EMPYREAN was selected to perform in the 2006 Zippo Hot Tour Semi-finals and has been
played on 101.1 WJRR's Native Noise numerous times.
EMPYREAN has also had the pleasure of opening for such national acts as Black Light
Burns, Horse The Band, Dog Fashion Disco, The Esoteric, Bobaflex, Hydrovibe, Haloscript, Phoenix Mourning, Hell Within, Invitro, Massacre,
Denial Fiend, The Ocean, Kylesa, Green Jelly, Tyr, Alestorm, Suidakra, Lair of the Minotaur, The Absence, Hate Eternal, Black Cobra, Khann,
Dark Castle, Devil's Gift, All Shall Perish, Another Black Day, Hand to Hand and The Flairs.
